Trunk or Treat

What a success! Way to go everyone! Ryan and I had a blast, however I am very tired so I'll keep this short. Here is some pictures of our little turtle!

Life is good!

Life is so good! So much to blog about, so I'll try to keep it short.

Noah and I went to Pinetop to visit my family, it is so beautiful this time of year! Grandpa gave Noah a ride on his backhoe...he loved it!




We celebrated Noah's 1st birthday! It was a lot of fun, he got way to many presents!



We really celebrated Noah's birthday today, Ryan took us to the state fair! (Today is his official birthday!)



If you didn't notice, no more blond! I'm still getting use to this, and I've had mixed comments!The worst would be my husband, he said I look like a witch, although now he likes it! These pictures are Ryan and I going down the slide at the state fair, I had ear to ear grin the whole way!

Blond Star

Have you heard of blond star? Well, I totally had a Blond Star moment. I packed Noah and Angelina in the car and we were headed to the store, on the way I thought I'd check the mail. So keep in mind I just started my car and drove around the block to the mail box. I get out of the car with the keys, get the mail, get back into the car and the car won't start! So I try to turn the key again...nothing...oh but wait...my battery light is flashing, I must have a dead battery! I then thought, well we just can't sit here so I tried to take the keys out of the ignition...STUCK! That's right they were stuck, I just about broke my key off. So I call Ryan, in hopes he left work early. I tell him what is happening, and his answer is...is the car in park? Park? Am I that dumb to not have the car in park? It was then when Ryan said, thank you for calling Blond Star.

Who's the genius?

All I can say is who is the genius that came up with the concept of car seats? I was out shopping today and my son Noah decided he did not want to be in the cart or be held, and at his age there's no way I can let him walk around and terrorize the store. So that is the start of my problem, add to it that he is teething, needs to take a nap and the check out clerk took twenty minutes to ring up three people! At the point of screeming, kicking, shoes flying, snotty nose and me trying to check out, all I could think was where is the car seat with the five point restraint?
My son has FINALLY come to grips that there is no way of getting out, and that it's actually enjoyable to ride in the car!

The Beginning...

My first post! Let me take a moment here and soak up the feeling...WOW...so that's how cool you all must feel! I check several blogs each day and I truly enjoy getting the scoop on your day, week or some of you every other month...Martin...Marc...Dan! At least your not like Bernard! (Smiling)

Anyways, you might be wondering what the scoop is with my title? A Gem Well Taken...it all started when Ryan set up my email address with cox, he tried the standard (boring) address, which is usually first and last name and of course with a name like mine wouldn't you know it was taken. So to make a long story short he used part of my first, middle and last name and came up with jem.larson. He was so excited, not only did he finally get one to work but it actually means something...that I was his jem "gem"!

I took that to heart and really pondered it. A gem is rare, beautiful, unique and precious. You can also view a gem as treasured or esteemed. There is so much more to be said about the beauty of a gem, however what is beautiful here is that Ryan sees the gem in me. So to say the least I feel like a gem well taken!

We all are gems, each and every one of us! My goal is to take time each week and find that in someone new!
